Adrian had been trying to bring me to St. Augustine for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, I was SUPER busy with my first year residency and my best friend Missy (Jamie) and Jim's wedding so I had kept delaying the plans.
Easter was coming and I was VERY stressed since I actually had to work that weekend. Adrian begged and he finally convinced me to at least celebrate this holiday with him. We had dinner with Adrian's sister, Angela on Saturday night and we all just planned on going to church the next day and go back to Gainesville.
At 5:45 am, Adrian comes to my room all dressed and jumping ready to start the day. I was really out of it and agreed with him to go to the roof top to watch the sunrise. He had a huge plush blanket ready for me and once we got to the roof top, we both looked at the sky and the ocean. It was beautiful! Then he grabbed my arms, looked into my eyes and started his "speech." All I can think of was this cannot be true; but it was. He asked me to marry him and we have been both so excited ever since.
Wedding plans will be stressful especially while I am here in Seattle, but thankfully, Adrian and I make a great team. <3
