Before I left for Seattle in July 2009, I wanted to take care of the big things first. This included settling on the date, the church, the reception place, and the photographers (and videographers).
Adrian and I both love St. Augustine and the richness of its history, culture, and the ocean. With that said, we both agreed that this is the perfect location for our fall wedding. We chose fall because we wanted to take our time before tying the knot. It was smart for us to take things slowly especially with the distance between us while I finish my 2nd year residency. Also, this date had meaning to our Asian culture to have an 8 in the date; therefore, September 18, 2010 was decided.
The reception will be held at Casa Monica Hotel which is located right across the Cathedral. The hotel has a very old Spanish style feel, which is perfect for our traditional Filipino wedding. We will be holding it at the Grand Ballroom. We had a long debate whether we should do it outside by the pool, but we did not want to risk the rain and Florida heat.

We also booked our photographers and we have worked with Mel and Brad Watson (La Dolce Vita Studio) previously for our graduation photos so we felt very comfortable with this husband-wife team. They are just a blast to work with!
